He volunteers regularly at the Shiloh Field Community Garden and currently serves on its Board of Directors as Secretary. He lives with his wife Janet and has three children and two grandchildren. John is enthusiastic about the many benefits of community gardening. By helping plant, care for, and harvest fruits and vegetables, he believes Shiloh volunteers get exercise, learn about the best methods for growing crops, and develop a sense of community, comradeship, and accomplishment.
